Fire crews suppress structure fire in north Spokane
Multiple fire crews responded to a structure fire in an under-construction home in north Spokane on Sunday night.
Reports of a structure fire at Broadway Avenue and Oak Street came in around 6 p.m. Flames and smoke were visible in the top story of the structure, which appeared to be in a late stage of construction.
No injuries were reported, and the building was believed to have been vacant at the time of the fire, said Spokane Fire Department Batallion Chief Dave Heizer. The burn was largely extinguished and crews were entering the structure as of 7 p.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
