Man dies in Riverfront Park

A man died in Riverfront Park on Tuesday afternoon, apparently of natural causes.

Cpl. Teresa Fuller, spokeswoman for the Spokane Police Department, said there was a medical call just before 3 p.m. at the park.

Officers responded to the man’s location along Post Street, directly across from the Washington Water Power building.

Officers remained at the scene until after 5 p.m., and were waiting for an investigator from the medical examiner’s office. Fuller said there were no obvious signs of foul play.
