The only heritage gardens in both Spokane and Eastern Washington, the Moore-Turner Heritage Gardens have been a bright spot on the South Hill since they were restored more than a decade ago.

To support the gardens, which are listed on the Spokane, state and national registers of historic places, the Friends of the Moore-Turner Heritage Gardens are hosting a traditional English tea, catered by Gardens at Sunset.

Now in its fourth year, the tea will be May 4 at the Corbin House and Art Center, 705 W. Seventh Ave.

There will be two seatings, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for Friends of the Moore-Turner Heritage Gardens and $30 for guests. Guided tours of the gardens are included.

Call (509) 838-0190 or visit www.heritagegardens.org to RSVP by April 29.
