Girls soccer: Chelsea Le’s hat trick leads Gonzaga Prep to district tile

Chelsea Le scored a hat trick and Gonzaga Prep (13-5-1) blanked Central Valley (15-1-1) 3-0 in the District 8 4A championship at Spokane Falls CC.

Eden Elliot made eight save for the blank sheet.

Both teams have qualified for the state tournament, which starts on Monday.

University 3 Mead 1: Gracen Crosby scored the go-ahead goal on a penalty kick in the 77th minute and the visiting Titans (11-4-0) topped the Panthers (13-6-0) in a district loser-out. U-Hi travels to Richland for the third-place match and a trip to state on Saturday.

Mt. Spokane 1, Southridge 0: Gracyn Ulias scored on a first-half header and the Wildcats (8-9-1) edged the visiting Suns (10-9-0) in a District 8 3A loser-out. Averie Carlsen made eight saves. Mt. Spokane faces Shadle Park in the district second-place game for a berth to state on Saturday at Albi Stadium.
