Veterans for Peace support walkout

The shame of District 81 in general and Sacajawea Middle School in particular for discouraging and dissuading students from spending 17 minutes to remember and honor their slain sisters and brothers at Parkland and speak against automatic weapons and our politicians’ refusal to do anything about them. There are few lessons more important than exercising one’s right to demonstrate and to speak and act against injustice and the senseless violence that has plagued our kids wherever they may be.

Spokane Veterans for Peace Chapter 35 supports these brave young people and their fight to put an end to automatic weapons.
