Honor Krauthammer, work together

I agree with Mr. Dixon about Charles Krauthammer’s columns being missed as respectful debate in the divisive American political scene. (“Krauthammer will be missed,” Hal Dixon, June 14, 2018) He encouraged both sides to talk.

Like the present example of the bipartisan Reach Every Mother and Child Act, with over a third of the members of Congress co-sponsoring this life-saving legislation to end preventable deaths of mothers and children. Although these deaths have been cut by half since 1990, nearly six million mothers and children still die every year. We know how to end these deaths and this bill will make our work more efficient to do just that.

So let’s honor the spirit of Mr. Krauthammer’s work by encouraging those who represent us in Congress to work together to keep our democracy strong.
