Boys basketball: St. George’s completes undefeated season

Mitchell Ward scored 13 points and St. George’s (20-0, 16-0) defeated Wilbur-Creston (2-18, 2-14) 65-29 in a Northeast 2B league finale. Noah Halliburton-Link and Xander Werkman tacked on 11 points apiece for St. George’s. Blaine Bandy led Wilbur-Creston with 18 points.

Liberty 68, Tekoa-Rosalia 45: Isaak Ottmar scored 22 points and the Lancers (18-2, 14-2) downed the Timberwolves (4-16, 1-15). Craig Mueller had 21 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocks for Tekoa-Rosalia.

Colfax 43, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 30: Caleb Berquist recorded 15 points and the Bulldogs (15-5, 13-3) defeated the visiting Broncos (11-9, 9-7). Carson Cloaninger added 11 points for Colfax and Drew Kelly scored nine to lead Lind-Ritzville/Sprague.

Northwest Christian 55, Davenport 53: Josh Maynard scored 19 points and the visiting Crusaders (13-8, 12-4) overcame the Gorillas (10-10, 8-8). Jaden Flett scored 19 points for Davenport.

Kettle Falls 55, Springdale 46: Matt Thompson scored 24 points and the Bulldogs (7-13, 5-11) defeated the visiting Chargers (7-12, 4-12) in overtime. Dakota Crumpler added 10 points with 10 rebounds for Kettle Falls. Austin Howder tallied 25 points to lead Springdale.

Northeast 1B

Inchelium 63, Northport 54: Damian DeLaCruz scored 18 points and the Hornets (4-16, 3-13) defeated the Mustangs (5-15, 3-13) in a play-in game for districts. Inchelium, the No. 4 seed, will play at top-seeded Odessa on Tuesday. Trenton Baribault notched 16 points and Connor Malcolm tacked on 15 for Northport.

Southeast 1B

Oakesdale 59, Colton 45: Kieron Anderson scored 19 points and the visiting Nighthawks (17-3, 12-2) defeated the Wildcats (5-13, 5-9). Reece Chadwick scored 20 points for Colton.

Pomeroy 55, Prescott 31: Jake Tewalt scored 19 points and the Pirates (18-2, 11-2) defeated the Tigers (8-8, 5-6). The Pirates secured the No. 1 seed for the district tournament. Jose Gonzales led Prescott with 10 points.

Garfield-Palouse 52, Touchet 44: Blake Jones scored 26 points and the visiting Vikings (14-5, 9-3) defeated the Indians (8-8, 6-7). Caden McKeown scored 12 points to lead Touchet.

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse 58, Waitsburg 27: Griffin Parrish scored 16 points and the visiting Eagles (3-17, 2-9) downed the Cardinals (0-13, 0-12). Johnny Wyatt led Waitsburg with 11 points.
