Girls basketball: Hailey Marlow scores 19 points, West Valley beats Okanogan in Eagle Holiday Classic

Eagle Holiday Classic at West Valley

Hailey Marlow scored 19 points and West Valley (5-3) defeated Okanogan (2-5) 78-36 on Thursday.

Nevaeh Sherwood added 15 points for West Valley.

Lakeland 60, Riverside 49: Katy Ryan scored 27 points with 12 rebounds and six blocks and the Hawks (5-6) beat the Rams (3-7). Izy Kirk added 13 points for Lakeland while Ava West led Riverside with 20 points.

Liberty 46, Lake Roosevelt 25: Maisie Burnham scored 23 points and the Lancers (8-1) topped the Raiders (5-5). Kelsie Olbricht led Lake Roosevelt with seven points.

Lakeside (WA) 49, Selkirk 21: Rylee Thomas scored 10 points and the Eagles (3-7) defeated the Rangers (4-5). Bree Dawson led Selkirk with 13 points.

Pomeroy 60, St. George’s 47: Emma Severs scored 24 points and the Pirates (9-1) defeated the Dragons (3-4) in the Eagle Holiday Classic at West Valley HS on Thursday. Lydia Bergquist led St. George’s with 15 points.

Cheney 67, Newport 39: Aijia Loffredi scored 17 points and the Blackhawks (2-5) beat the Grizzlies (1-6). Alika Robinson led Newport with 10 points.

Davenport 57, Colton 54: Janaye Wilkie scored 21 points and the Gorillas (5-2) edged the Wildcats (8-1). Colton’s loss snapped a 26-game winning streak. Jordyn Moehrle led Colton with 21 points.

Avista Holiday Tournament

Lewiston 66, Eastmont 54: Kendyll Kainzer scored 20 points and the Bengals (5-6) defeated the Wildcats (3-6) at Lewis-Clark State College. Maya Eke added 13 points for Lewiston.

Freeman 68, St. Maries 29: Anna Chisholm had 12 points and the Scotties (8-2) bested the visiting Lumberjacks (5-4). Madison Cordell led St. Maries with eight points.

Northwest Christian 56, Kellogg 42: Jordan Rabe scored 24 points and the Crusaders (7-1) topped the Wildcats (6-5). Jaron Figueroa led Kellogg with 18 points.

Kettle Falls 41, Colville 40: Zarah Johnson scored 17 points, 10 in the first quarter, and the Bulldogs (5-4) hung on to beat the visiting Indians (6-5). Hallie Cox led Colville with 22 points.

Wellpinit Holiday Tournament

Wellpinit 54, Lakeside (ID) 37: Jada Orr scored 12 points and the Redskins (6-2) beat the visiting Knights (3-6). Tommia Pakootas led Lakeside with 12 points.
