Softball roundup: Sierra Apodaca, Gracee Dwyer both go 5 for 5 with home run, U-Hi beats Shadle
Sierra Apodaca went 5 for 5 with a homer and a double and visiting University (12-5, 12-3) defeated Shadle Park (5-11, 5-10) 26-1 on Friday in a Greater Spokane League game.
Gracee Dwyer of University was also 5 for 5 with a homer and double.
Central Valley 5, Mead 3: Kelsey Gumm struck out 11 and the visiting Bears (16-0, 15-0) rallied late to edge the Panthers (9-8, 9-6). The Bears’ Hannah Wampler drove in two runs with a pair of doubles.
Mt. Spokane 5, Rogers 2: Jesse Dupois scattered six hits, striking out 16, and the visiting Wildcats (14-3, 13-2) downed the Pirates (7-10, 6-9).
Lewis and Clark 2, Gonzaga Prep 1: Peris Ochsner had a double and the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the first and the Tigers (8-9, 7-8) defeated the visiting Bullpups (6-11, 5-10) at Hart Field. Taylor John tossed a complete game and struck out 12 batters for Lewis and Clark.
North Central 14, Ferris 4: Harmony Bay started a 6-5-3 triple play in the third inning and led the offense with three hits for four RBIs and the Indians (2-15, 2-13) stopped the visiting Saxons (1-15, 1-14).
Great Northern League
West Valley 10, East Valley 9 (Gm 1): Lilly Arch’s walk-off drive to the wall in left-center field plated two and the Eagles (13-2, 6-1) roared back from an early 9-0 deficit to edge the visiting Knights (8-7, 6-3). Maddy Thompson homered and doubled for the Eagles, scoring and driving in two runs.
West Valley 10, East Valley 0 (Gm 2): Lilly Arch homered twice with three RBIs and the Eagles (14-2, 7-1) blanked the visiting Knights (8-8, 6-4). India Wells tossed a shutout, striking out three, for West Valley.

Lake City 13, Post Falls 6 (Gm 1): Abby Jankay hit a home run and had three RBIs and the Timberwolves (15-3, 9-0) beat the visiting Trojans (8-10, 2-7).
Post Falls 10, Lake City 5 (Gm 2): Bubba Gleaves hit a home run and a double with two RBIs and the visiting Trojans (9-10, 3-7) beat the Timberwolves (15-4, 9-1).

Freeman 22, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 12: Hailey Davis went 3 for 4 with three runs and four RBIs and the Scotties (5-7, 3-6) defeated the visiting Broncos (5-7, 1-5). Freeman’s Hannah Brock was 3 for 4 with a triple, three runs and two RBIs.
