Body found at Waste Management facility

Spokane police said a body was found Thursday at a Waste Management facility at 2902 S. Geiger Blvd.

Around 3:45 p.m., detectives responded to the report of a body found in the SMaRT Recycling Center. The deceased person was not an employee, and the death was not connected to any industrial accident, police said.

Police didn’t release the name, gender or age of the deceased person, nor did they say where the body was found in the facility. An investigation is ongoing.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner will release the identity of and the manner of death after the family of the deceased has been notified.
