Octopus is out, Papa’s Lover is in
Jeremy and Kate Hansen are the husband-and-wife team behind a number of downtown Spokane restaurants and bars, including Sante - which they plan to close in 2019. Here, they’re pictured at their Common Crumb Artisan Bakery, which is currently closed for retail. The couple plan to reopen that space to customers in January. Goodbye, Octopus.
Hello, Papa’s Lover.
Jeremy and Kate Hansen’s new gin joint hasn’t even opened yet, but it already has a new name.
Papa’s Lover Gin Bar is in the works at the old Ridpath Hotel in downtown Spokane, along with a traditional French brasserie, also from the husband-and-wife restaurateurs.
According to Jeremy Hansen, neither will be “super-fine dining.” He had previously planned to call the bar Octopus Gin Bar. For more info, click here.
The Hansens also own and operate Sante Restaurant and Charcuterie, Hogwash Whiskey Den, Inland Pacific Kitchen, Common Crumb Artisan Bakery and Biscuit Wizard – all in downtown Spokane.
