Spokane County homes sales stay at near-record pace

Home sales in Spokane County continued at a near-record pace in August, with more than 900 properties changing hands.

The Spokane Association of Realtors reported the sales of 903 single-family homes and condos during August.

The number of properties sold was up 9.2 percent over August 2016, but down from the all-time monthly record of 944 Spokane County home sales in June.

The median sales price was $218,000 in August, compared to $199,000 a year ago.

The average sales price was $234,671 last month, compared to $214,693 in August 2016.

About 2,000 Spokane County homes were listed for sale in August, down slightly from a year ago.
