Washington State game opens on Fox Business Network due to Penn State-Michigan State delay

PULLMAN – The Cougars and Cardinal didn’t get the national audience they thought they’d have when FOX picked up Saturday’s game between the teams ranked 25th and 18th in the country.

Because of a lengthy lightning delay in a Big Ten game between Penn State and Michigan State, the Pac-12 North game at Martin Stadium only appeared on FOX’s flagship station in local televsion markets. The rest of the country was only able to view Washington State and Stanford on FOX Business Network.

The Nittany Lions and Spartans kicked off at 9 a.m. PDT and didn’t restart until after 1:30 p.m. The game picked up with nearly eight minutes remaining in the second quarter.
