Maggie Nelson and Toa Levi picked up 10 team points apiece with Nelson’s win in the javelin (140-9) and Levi’s victory in the shot put (41-11 1/4). The Sasquatch also had a 2-3 finish in the pole vault from Stephanie Wright (12-3 1/4) and Alexis Perry (11-9 1/4).

Baseball

Jeremiah Burks smacked a two-out, three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to power the Fresno State Bulldogs (32-23) to a 9-2 nonconference victory over the Gonzaga Bulldogs (31-18) in Fresno, California.

Burks’ blast capped a four-run outburst with all runs unearned after Gonzaga starter Mac Lardner fanned Korby Batesole on a wild pitch for what would have been the third out. Batesole reached first safely setting up an RBI single that stretched FSU’s lead to 4-2 before Burk settled matters.
