Spokane police investigating body found behind North Division Street liquor store

Spokane police are investigating the body of a transient man found behind a liquor store Monday morning.

Officer Josh Laiva said another transient walked into Bulldog Liquor & Wine at 1101 N. Division St. to report the death at about 10:30 a.m.

One lane of Division remained closed just after noon, and Laiva said detectives would be at the scene for several more hours.

The Spokane County medical examiner will determine the man’s identity and cause of death.
