Sausage making, Bocce games, Italian food will be Saturday at Liberty Lake’s Festivale Italiano

From staff reports

The fifth annual Festivale Italiano will be Saturday and Italian food and games will be the highlight of festivities at the Liberty Lake Farmers Market during market hours 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The festival will feature a booth of the Italian American Club of Spokane, Order of Sons of Italy in America Lodge 2172. Professional sausage maker and retailer Douglas Chiechi, of Seattle, will demonstrate sausage making and tying.

The Lodge also will hold Bocce lessons and games. Mamma Mia Restaurant will provide Italian food and cookies for donations. Some crafts will be available for sale.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association of Eastern Washington and North Idaho. Last year the festival raised about $460 for the association directed by Joel Loiacono who will be on hand this year to answer questions.

The market and festival will be set up at 1421 N. Meadowwood Lane in Liberty Lake.
