Area roundup: WSU falls to last with one round left in Pac-12 women’s golf championship

Alivia Brown tied for 26th place as Washington State dropped three spots to last after the second round of the Pac-12 Women’s Championship at the Sewailo Golf Club in Tucson, Arizona.

Brown shot 3-over 75 and is at 10-over 154 withe final round Wednesday.

UCLA leads by seven strokes behind leaders Lilia Vu and Bethany Wu. Vu shot a 6-under 66 on Tuesday to finish the second round at 7-under 137. Wu, tied with Vu at 71 after Monday’s first round, shot 70 on Tuesday, and is second, four strokes behind her teammate.

All-conference teams

Gonzaga’s Bianca Pagdanganan and Ciera Min of the women’s golf team were named to the All-West Coast Conference first team. Min is the first golfer in school history to represent the Zags on the All-WCC team for four straight years. … Idaho senior Ryan Porch and sophomore Enrique Marin were selected to the All-Big Sky second team. … Whitworth senior first baseman Matthew Nelson was selected to the All-Northwest Conference team. Pirates shortstop Joel Condreay and pitcher Matthew Young were selected to the second team.
