Coaching hires
- Gonzaga announced the hiring of Diane Nelson as head volleyball coach, making her the first GU alum to hold the position. Nelson joined the Bulldogs staff in 2011 and in the past two seasons has helped guide the team to its first back-to-back winning seasons since 1989-90. Nelson played at Zags from 1995-98 and is 11th on GU’s career kills list with 1,094.
- Washington State announced the hiring of Dustin White as head men’s golf coach, replacing Garrett Clegg, who left after five seasons to take the same position at Utah. White, a 2003 WSU graduate and three-time All-Pac-10 selection, was hired as an assistant coach in 2014.
