Four corners: UI Vandals

Sean Kramer Correspondent

Coming up: Tonight vs. Weber State, 7; Saturday vs. Idaho State, 7 p.m.

Outlook: The formula for the Vandals is simple: Win out and they’re not only guaranteed a first-round bye to next week’s Big Sky Conference tournament, but they’re also guaranteed third place. However, a win in either of their contests against Weber State or Idaho State sets them up well for a top-four spot thanks to many tiebreakers working in their favor. The health of starting point guard Perrion Callandret is a concern. He reaggravated his right-foot sprain in practice prior to Saturday’s contest against Eastern Washington. Victor Sanders is back healthy from his broken right hand and looks to find his shooting form this weekend.

Idaho leaders:

Scoring: Victor Sanders, 15.7 ppg

Rebounding: Chris Sarbaugh, 4.6 rpg

Assists: Sarbaugh, 3.2 apg
