Workout regimen:
Retired physical education teacher Will Nyholm smiles between pulling weeds Thursday at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church Community Garden in Spokane. “This gives me a great workout. I get to skip the gym and be outdoors,” he said. Beautiful Savior Lutheran, 4320 S. Conklin St., acquired the grounds west of the church in 2010. Formerly a nursery, the area has been cultivated as a community garden, where church and community members can grow their own produce and flowers. (Tyler Tjomsland / The Spokesman-Review)
