EWU’s Venky Jois shares Big Sky player of week honors

Eastern Washington forward Venky Jois is the co-Big Sky Conference Player of the Week after leading the Eagles to a pair of wins last weekend.
Jois earned his fourth career award after averaging 23.5 points 10.5 rebounds and shooting 63 percent in the Eagles’ home wins over Portland State and Sacramento State.
In a 112-83 win over PSU, Jois scored 24 points and pulled down 12 boards for his sixth double-double of the season.
With 1,616 points in his career, Jois is only 125 points behind the school record of 1,741 held by Ron Cox.
Jois shared the award with Idaho State’s Geno Luzcando.
