Police search for suspect in downtown stabbing
Spokane police are searching for a female suspect following a stabbing Wednesday night in downtown Spokane.
Police spokeswoman Officer Teresa Fuller said a woman was stabbed around 9 p.m. near the intersection of West Sprague Avenue and North Bernard Street.
She was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition, Fuller said.
The woman told officers a woman she didn’t know stabbed her and stole her purse. The suspect was with a man.
Police have not located the suspect and are continuing to investigate.
