Firefighters battle two brush fires
Fires south of Spokane Valley
Firefighters are attempting to control two small brush fires that ignited Monday afternoon south of Spokane Valley.
The Spokane Valley Fire Department dubbed the fires Hidden Hollow and said about 17 acres had burned by 7:45 p.m.
One fire south of the intersection of Highway 27 and Dishman-Mica Road is 90 percent contained. The other fire burning north was being fought with helicopter water-drops and containment lines.
