Perkins update
Gonzaga freshman Josh Perkins, who suffered a broken jaw Nov. 26 against Georgia and underwent surgery Dec. 9, is hoping to have his wires removed Tuesday. That depends on a check-up, at which doctors will examine his jaw alignment and whether his mouth is opening straight up and down.
Perkins has been consuming roughly six chocolate and peanut butter shakes per day. He’s lost 15 pounds since the injury. The 6-foot-3 point guard is listed at 186 pounds on the roster.
