Obituary: Osso, Lois Helen (Davis)
Age 69
Lois was born on February 26, 1945 in Spokane, WA, to parents Everett H. and Esther (Reeves) Davis.
Lois moved with her family to various places in Washington and North Idaho and graduated from Mt.
Si High School, North Bend, WA in 1963.
While living in North Bend, Lois spent much of her time riding her horse, Babe, all over Mt.
Si.
Lois also competed in barrel racing and gymkhana events with her horse as a teenager.
Lois married Patrick Osso, Sr. May 3, 1972.
They welcomed into their family two children, Patrick Jr. and Connie.
They later divorced.
Lois married Loyal Grey on October 21, 2006.
They later divorced but remained close friends to the end.
Lois earned her Master of Social Work degree in March of 1996 from Eastern Washington University.
She loved to serve others.
She worked as an Assistance Line Coordinator for United Way as well as an Intake Worker, Adult Protective Services, for DSHS.
She also actively assisted adoptees in searching for their birth families.
Lois wrote and published a poetry book titled “The Invisible Branch on the Family Tree”.
Lois was always willing and ready to serve.
She gave her heart to the Lord early in life and remained faithful to the end.
She served numerous callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including Visiting Teacher, Single Adult Rep, and Relief Society President among others.
Lois Loved getting together with family and friends.
She enjoyed putting puzzles together, playing games, watching movies, and baking.
Lois actively researched her family history to fill in the branches on her own family tree.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers Jim (Celie) and Lyle (Lorraine) Davis.
Lois is survived by her son, Patrick (Tracey) Osso Jr. of Colbert, WA; daughter Connie (Daryl) Stocking of Ephrata, WA; and step-daughter Sherri Kish of Spokane, WA.
Lois has eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 am in the LDS Chapel, 401 W. Regina, Spokane, WA.
