Franklin Park Mall gets new Rite Aid

Vandervert Construction is building a new Rite Aid store on the north end of Franklin Park Mall. At a project value of $2.8 million, the construction will erect a 17,400-square-foot store at 5840 N. Division St.

The new store will replace a Rite Aid store in Franklin Park Mall where a second Trader Joe’s for Spokane is set to be built. The California grocery retailer will go into roughly half of the Rite Aid building currently in the mall.

Rite Aid’s new site, which will include a drive-thru, is near the Burlington Coat Factory building. The store is expected to open this summer.

Work to begin on new apartments

Kettrick Properties of Seattle plans to build a 21-unit apartment building at 317 S. Coeur d’Alene St. in Browne’s Addition.

Fusion Architecture PLLC in Liberty Lake has designed a three-story, 28,700-square-foot structure and basement parking garage. Plans call for a mix of living units from studios to two-bedroom apartments.

The $2.9 million project, expected to start this spring, is undergoing a plan review with the city.

Hayden Furniture to open Feb. 3

A new furniture store in Hayden is scheduled to open Tuesday. The Hayden Furniture Depot at 9424 N. Government Way will carry new and vintage furniture.

The business is leasing 1,800 square feet of space formerly occupied by a hair salon. Hayden Furniture also has leased an adjacent space to open a companion store called Patina in a few months to carry more painted furniture and shabby chic decor items. Patina will occupy roughly 1,500 square feet.

TJ Bonnell leases space

An American Family Insurance agency has leased 1,450 square feet of space at 4423 N. Division St. The TJ Bonnell Agency will occupy the space.

Colin Conway and Craig Soehren with Kiemle & Hagood represented Hutton Settlement, and Erik Nelson with Kiemle & Hagood represented the tenant.
