Officials have removed two bodies from a plane that crashed near Oroville in Okanogan County Thursday afternoon. The crash was discovered by firefighters responding to reports of a fire on Rise Road, about 8 miles east of Oroville. At the time they believed only one person was inside the Cessna T-182. The area did not cool down enough to allow close inspection until this morning and that is when the second body was discovered, said Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers. Investigators believe they know the identity of the two people who died but have not yet notified their family members. The people live in the are and took off from the Oroville Airport Thursday, Rogers said. The Federal Aviation Administration has been involved and the NTSB is expected to arrive tomorrow to investigate the cause of the crash, Rogers said. “There was nothing at the scene to tell us,” he said.
