Post Falls woman shot in face; boyfriend in custody

A woman is in critical condition after being shot in the face this afternoon in Post Falls, authorities said. Her boyfriend, who called 9-1-1 at 4:12 p.m. to report he’d shot his girlfriend, was taken into custody in connection with the attack, according to the Post Falls Police Department. Officers found him in the street outside the home. The critically wounded woman was found inside the home and rushed to Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, police said. Detectives have taken over the investigation.
