Obituary: Binks, Erik James
Age 2
Erik was a fighter and had bounced back several times against the unforgiving disease.
He was born January 9, 2013 in Pullman to Lyle and Cheryl (Thompson) Binks.
Even though Erik spent a great deal of time in and out of hospitals in Seattle and Spokane he touched many lives through his bright, sparkly eyes and radiant smile.
He will be missed by his big brother, Alexander (age 11), who was very proud of his little brother.
Erik leaves behind his loving parents, Lyle Robert Binks, Jr. and Cheryl Thompson Binks at their home in LaCrosse along with his brother, Alexander; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Cheree Thompson, LaCrosse; paternal grandparents, Lyle Binks, Sr. and his wife Kathy of Vancouver, WA; aunts, Julia (James) Pierzina of Portland, OR and Vivienne Ingle of Troutdale, OR; and an uncle, Patrick (Anja) Binks also of Troutdale.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Judy Binks; and by an uncle Eddie Thompson.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 2nd, at 3:00 pm in the LaCrosse High School Gym.
Memorial gifts are suggested to the Anna Schindler Foundation in Post Falls, Idaho, the Ronald McDonald House in Spokane, ACCOIN of Spokane, or to the LaCrosse EMT’s.
