Age 90

STACK, Keith Courtney “K.C.”

(Age 90) Of Edwall, WA, passed away April 4, 2015 at his home.

He was born in Spokane on November 2, 1924, to Michael Garret Stack (Gary) and Olive (McQuillan) Stack.

The family farmed in the Edwall area on land homesteaded in 1884 by his Irish immigrant grandparents, Michael and Hanna (Courtney) Stack.

In 1946, K.C.

married an Edwall girl, Inez Polenske, and farmed this same land for 40 years, retiring in 1986.

While K.C.

was a lifelong farmer, for 20 years he served as a board member and president of the Production Credit Association and a board member of the Federal Land Bank.

He was also very active in the community as the charter president of the Edwall Lions Club, founding member and president of the Edwall Chemical Corp. (now AgLink), board member and president of the Edwall Grain Growers, and church board member.

K.C.

was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He is survived by his three children, Cristi (John) Eaton, Suzi (Allen, deceased) Arndt and David (Wendy) Stack; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Inez in July of 2005, and son Barney in February of 1970.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, at CHENEY FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1632 W. FIRST ST., in CHENEY.

Burial will follow at the Edwall Cemetery.
