Northport woman injured in suspected drunken driving crash
A 56-year-old Northport woman was injured in a collision late Sunday and alcohol is believed to be a factor, the Washington State Patrol said.
Karen H. Cox was airlifted from the scene of the crash, which occurred just after 5 p.m. about two miles south of Northport on State Route 25, according to a news release. Cox’s pickup truck left the roadway when she tried to negotiate a turn, driving down an embankment, up another and then flipping onto its roof, according to the WSP.
Cox was treated and released from Sacred Heart Medical Center. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the news release. The pickup was totaled in the crash.
