Woman arrested for identity theft after shoplifting attempt
A Spokane County deputy arrested a woman with stolen credit cards Sunday after she tried to steal meat and spices from a Grocery Outlet store in Spokane Valley.
Deputy Riley Quine arrested Tanecia R. Dutil, 30, after a loss prevention officer reported she tried to leave the store after concealing food in her purse. Dutil falsely identified herself as Morgan Morse using a Washington driver’s license, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
Quine found two wallets in Dutil’s purse, along with credit cards and identification for three other people.
Dutil had two active warrants for her arrest, and was booked into jail on charges of identity theft, possession of stolen property and several other misdemeanor charges.
