Obituary: Simons, Emily M.

SIMONS, Emily M. (Age 51) Born May 11, 1963 in Moses Lake, Washington, Emily was a very devoted mother, proud grand- mother, beautiful sister, and loving daughter.

A Christian with unwavering faith, Emily had a forgiving soul and a huge heart.

She was a caring friend to many in their time of need.

True to herself and her beliefs, she was known for her strong personality and courageous spirit.

She attended Almira/Hartline High School while growing up in Coulee City and graduated from Omak High School.

She excelled in basketball and track while also cheerleading.

She continued her love for sports and coached high school basketball at St. Thomas More.

Emily was welcomed into Heaven October 31, 2014 by her father, Merle Simons and mother, Emily Babb.

She is survived by her two sons, Laramie and Michael that she raised by herself and taught them everything they know.

She is survived by her grandsons, Rolando and Jackson, her sisters, Sandra and Donna Rae, their husbands, Mike and Ardell, her brother Merle and wife, Charlene.

In addition to countless nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family and friends that loved her dearly.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Parish in Spokane, Washington, 330 E. Boone Ave., Spokane, WA 99202.
