In brief: Police respond to shooting in Valley

Two people were found dead after a shooting late Saturday in Spokane Valley. Police were called to Broadway Square Apartments, 11910 E. Broadway Ave., about 9:30 p.m. One man was found inside an apartment, and one man was found outside, Deputy Mark Gregory said.

Deputies were searching the area but they did not have information about a possible suspect.

K-9s were searching the area and a sheriff’s helicopter was flying overhead.

Reagan masks disguise robbers

SEATTLE – Seattle police said three men wearing Ronald Reagan masks assaulted a man and robbed his home early Saturday.

The man reported he was sleeping around 12:30 a.m. Saturday when he heard a knock on the door. Thinking the knock came from relatives returning home, he opened the door. Three men pushed their way in and struck the homeowner in the head with a pistol. The men ransacked the home before fleeing.

Police said the victim was unable to provide a detailed description of the intruders.
