Motorcycle crash kills rider, 59

A motorcyclist died after a collision with a truck on state Route 902 at Craig Road just east of Medical Lake on Saturday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Thomas P. Bacon, 59, of Spokane, was riding a 2004 Harley-Davidson west on Route 902. A 2013 Ford F-150 driven by Frank C. Watson, 71, of St. John, Washington, was stopped on Craig Road heading north. Watson pulled out in front of Bacon, the WSP said, and Watson will be cited for failure to yield.

Watson and passenger Billie J. Watson, 72, were uninjured. Both were wearing seat belts. Bacon, who died of his injuries at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, was wearing a helmet.
