Snowmobiler dies after crash

BOZEMAN – A snowmobiler died after he tried to jump a creek near Cooke City, Mont., and crashed.

Park County officials told the Bozeman Daily Chronicle the man crashed shortly after noon Thursday and that search and rescue members arrived within minutes. The man died at the scene after resuscitation efforts failed.

The coroner’s office will release the man’s name and hometown after his family is notified.
