Whitworth players selected

Six Whitworth Pirates have been named to the All-Northwest Conference football first or second team it was announced on Tuesday.

Tight end Wade Meyer, offensive lineman Dalton Cosby and strong safety Casey Monahan were named to the first team.

Running back DJ Tripoli, wide receiver Drew Clausen and defensive end Aaron Cochran were named to the second team.

Men’s basketball

The North Idaho Cardinals rolled to an 86-65 nonconference victory over the Columbia Basin Hawks in Pasco.

NIC travels to Pendleton, Ore., for a game against Blue Mountain CC today.

Women’s basketball

The North Idaho Cardinals cruised to an 83-66 victory over the Columbia Basin Hawks in nonconference play in Pasco.

NIC hosts Dawson CC at 5:30 p.m. on Friday night.
