Sasquatch advance to NWAACC semis

Brady Bagby’s 21 points led four Community College of Spokane players in double figures Sunday as the Sasquatch beat Everett Community College 88-78 in the second round of the NWAACC Basketball Championship in Kennewick.

Eric Holbrook added 17 points and a game-high 10 assists, Tyler Edwards had 14 points and Kwinn Hanson had 11 points and 11 rebounds for CCS.

The Sasquatch held the Trojans to 33.3 percent shooting from the field and led by as many as 23 points.

CCS will play Edmonds in the semifinals tonight at 8. The Tritons beat Clackamas 81-71 on Sunday.

Chemeketa and Big Bend face off in the other semifinal, with the winners meeting Tuesday at 8 p.m. for the title.

The CCS women played a late elimination game on Sunday night.

Late Saturday

Brady Bagby scored 19 points and Kwinn Hanson added 17 points and 13 rebounds as CCS beat Southwestern Oregon Community College 82-70 on Saturday in a first-round game.

Jarid Downey added 15 points off the bench for the Sasquatch.
