Rollover on Hwy. 395 kills Montana teen
A Montana teenager died today when the car she was riding in rolled over on U.S. Route 395 eight miles south of Lind, Wash.
Lineesa R. Abernathy, 18, of Kalispell, Mont., was killed in the accident, the Washington State Patrol said.
The driver, Ryan W. Ek, 18, also of Kalispell, was injured and taken to Richland Hospital.
The 2006 Chevrolet Aveo was northbound when it drifted off the highway, crossed the median and rolled across both southbound lanes, the WSP said.
The accident in Adams County occurred shortly before 3 p.m. and partially blocked one lane of the highway.
The cause is under investigation.
