Scott’s 3-pointers key for Mt. Spokane
Cam Scott sunk a 3-pointer with 9 seconds left in overtime and Mt. Spokane held on to beat Hanford 79-78 in a nonleague game Saturday night in Richland.
Scott and Jacob Krantz hit back-to-back 3s to tie the game at the end of regulation.
Scott made five from beyond the arc in all, and finished with 25 points. The Wildcats’ Stu Stiles added 16 points and Dylan Moran chipped in 10.
Mt. Spokane (5-2) made 17 of 21 from the free-throw line.
Ferris 71, Chiawana 41: Matt Belles led a balanced attack with 16 points and the Saxons (7-0) overwhelmed the Riverhawks in Pasco. Jensen Rye added 13 points and nine rebounds for Ferris.
Richland 66, Central Valley 57: The Bombers built an 11-point halftime lead and held on to beat the visiting Bears (5-1). CV’s Austin Chamberlain scored 24 points, including 14 in the final quarter.
St. George’s 65, Freeman 34: Dexter Sienko scored 20 points and Will Tender and Erik Muelheims added 10 apiece as the Dragons (10-0) dumped the Scotties (2-3) at the Freeman tournament at Freeman. St. George’s set the tone with a 25-5 first-quarter run.
Pullman 76, Northwest Christian 66: Race Martin scored 24 points and David Ungerer added 17 points and six assists as the Greyhounds (5-1) held off the Crusaders’ second-half charge and won at the Freeman tournament. Jonathan Morris had 22 points and Chris Hartis added 16 points and 12 rebounds for NWC (8-2), which rallied late but couldn’t overcome a 19-point halftime deficit.
West Valley 70, Bonners Ferry 39: Jake Love scored 17 points and Alex Hall added 14 as the Eagles (7-1) dumped the Badgers (0-6) at the West Valley tournament at West Valley. Bonners Ferry’s Cameron Woods and Kyler Rice combined for 21 points.
Coeur d’Alene 59, Prairie 42: Tony Naccarato scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds to guide the Vikings (7-1) past Prairie at the Coeur d’Alene Inn-vitational in Coeur d’Alene. Devin Kluss added 12 points and Justin Carpenter chipped in 10 for CDA.
Post Falls 66, Kelowna Secondary 38: The Trojans (7-3) shook off a slow start and defeated Kelowna Secondary at the Coeur d’Alene Inn-vitational. Nick Hall led a balanced scoring attack for Post Falls with 15 points. The Trojans trailed 11-3 after the first quarter, but outscored Kelowna Secondary 47-13 in the second and third quarters.
Lewiston 56, Colfax 39: Jayden Rayner made 5 of 6 free throws and finished with 22 points to guide the Bengals (3-4) past the Bulldogs (4-4) at the Avista tournament at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston. Colfax was led by Keith Gfeller’s eight points.
Clarkston 72, Walla Walla 54: C.J. Johnson and Kage Sobotta combined for 35 points and the Bantams (7-0) topped the Blue Devils at the Avista tournament. Clarkston built a 40-21 lead at the half.
Colville 50, Timberlake 46: Lukyn Holling scored 20 points and Tevyn Holling added 16 as the Indians (5-2) outlasted the Tigers (0-8) in the consolation game of the West Valley tournament. Colville built a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter, but Timberlake was able to cut the margin to three. The Tigers had possession with 10 seconds left, but Keegan Scott missed a 3-pointer. Scott led the Timberlake with 17 points.
Reardan 51, Wellpinit 36: Daniel Peone scored 15 points to lead a balanced scoring attack and the Indians (4-5) topped the Redskins (6-2) at the Reardan tournament Brodie Ford scored 18 points for Wellpinit.
Springdale 49, Newport 44: Austin Prouty led three players in double figures with 15 points and the Chargers (1-9) edged the host Grizzlies (4-4). Jeron Konkright led Newport with 22 points. Springdale won the rebounding battle 34-25.
Okanogan 80, Riverside 62: The Bulldogs thrived early and held on to beat the Rams (8-1) at the Cascade tournament in Leavenworth. Tyler Axtell scored 14 points and Jesse Anselm and Andrew Kramer added 11 apiece for the Rams, but Riverside couldn’t recover after falling behind 26-7 in the first quarter.
University 59, Sumner 50: Michael Isotalo scored 21 points to power the Titans (5-2) past the Spartans at the Yakima SunDome Shootout in Yakima.
Kalama 52, Lakeside (Wash.) 44: Kalama pulled away after halftime and beat the Eagles (6-2) at the Yakima SunDome Shootout. Ryan Quigley led Lakeside with 12 points.
Kettle Falls 51, Oroville 43: Tyler Johnson scored 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Bulldogs (5-3) past the visiting Hornets. Jessie Pugh added 12 points and Connor McKern chipped in 10 for Kettle Falls, which held a 34-22 rebounding advantage.
Wilbur-Creston 48, Davenport 47: Garet Townsend’s bucket with 20 seconds left gave the Wildcats (6-3) a win over the Gorillas (3-6) at the Davenport tournament in Davenport. Davenport’s potential game-winning shot rimmed out at the buzzer. Townsend finished with 14 points and Nick Densley added 11 for the Wildcats.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 73, Royal 34: Connor O’Neill had 17 points and five steals and the Broncos (5-1) dismantled Royal in Ritzville. LRS senior Dylan Hartz added 16 points, which put him over 1,000 for his career.
Valley Christian 41, Selkirk 22: Nick Cox and Bo Piersol scored 12 points apiece and the Panthers (4-4) defeated the visiting Rangers (1-7).
Liberty 76, St. John-Endicott 30: Match Burnham led all scorers with 14 points and the Lancers (9-1) eased past the host Eagles (0-7). Roberty Staples scored 13 for SJE.
Cusick 70, Republic 49: Alec Bluff hit five 3-pointers and scored 25 points and Chad Browneagle added 22 points and 12 rebounds as the Panthers (6-2) dominated from the get-go in an easy win over the visiting Tigers (3-4).

Pomeroy 57, Tekoa-Oakesdale 11: Tyson Feider scored 16 points and the Pirates (8-0, 4-0) dismantled the Nighthawks (0-4, 0-3) in Tekoa. Pomeroy outscored Tekoa-Oakesdale 19-0 in the second quarter to take a 32-1 halftime lead.
