Driver injured in collision with moose north of Loon Lake
A driver was seriously injured when he hit a moose in the roadway on Highway 395 north of Loon Lake on Tuesday afternoon.
William Watersman, 67, was driving a 1994 Subaru Legacy southbound about 5 p.m. when he struck the moose, according to a Washington State Patrol news release. The Subaru rolled down into a ditch and hit a tree, the release said.
Watersman was airlifted to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt, the release said.
