Idaho difference makers: Connor Hill and Antwan Scott

Don Verlin isn’t sure if the Vandals will be as balanced offensively as they were last year. But he knows this much: UI needs another steady scorer or two to complement Kyle Barone and Stephen Madison.
That’s where Connor Hill and Antwan Scott fit in. The shooting guards with contrasting styles will likely share minutes and the scoring spotlight.
Hill (Post Falls) was tied for second on the team as a freshman with 47 3-pointers. Verlin hopes he can make a similar first-to-second year jump that Madison made last year.
Scott, a 6-1 JC transfer, showed in the preseason that he can put up points as a long-range shooter and slasher to the basket. His versatility should come in handy.
“The way he shot it the whole preseason and just in practice, it’s very impressive,” Madison said. “He knows how to get his shot.”
