SUV hit bicyclist near Downriver Golf Course

A man in his 60’s was hit by an SUV while riding a bicycle at North Columbia Circle and North Park Boulevard near the Downriver Golf Course around 4 p.m. Monday. The cause of the accident is under investigation by police, said Spokane Fire Department Battalion Chief Clive Jones. “He didn’t have a heartbeat when we arrived,” Jones said. “A police officer was doing CPR.” Paramedics were able to get a heartbeat and a faint pulse before the man was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center for further treatment, Jones said.
