Gun-grabbing paranoia baseless

The paranoia that some letter writers display regarding the president’s stance on guns borders on the comical.

The facts are on record that Obama believes hunters, collectors and other law-abiding Americans have the right to purchase, own, transport and use guns responsibly, plus he respects the rights of Americans to hunt, target shoot and use guns to protect their families. In his own words, “I believe there is a Second Amendment right, an individual right for people to have the right to lawfully bear arms.”

The NRA, in an ad campaign a couple years ago, put out a false “10 Point Plan to ‘Change’ the Second Amendment” that runs entirely counter to the president’s position. No facts to support it … just shooting from the hip, so to speak.

It’s comical that so many paranoid people were worried that this president would take away their guns when, in reality, he’s been one of the best gun salesmen ever.
