Drinking party cut short by knife attacks

An under-age drinking party ended in a stabbings early today in northeast Spokane. Two persons were injured and taken to a local hospital by ambulance. Spokane police said the wounds were serious but not life-threatening. The incident occurred about 2 a.m. in the 2900 block of east Broad Avenue in Hillyard. Four men in a dark-colored SUV arrived at the party and initiated a fight, leading to the stabbing. Party-goers provided police with little information about the suspects or motive for the fight.
