Motorist injured in collision with deer

A woman driving on U.S. Highway 2 struck a deer near Bear Lake in north Spokane County this morning and was injured, the Washington State Patrol said. Emergency crews were on the scene of the 7:26 a.m. accident at Westwood Avenue on the south side of the lake a short distance north of Chattaroy. The highway was partially blocked following the crash. Details of the accident were not immediately available.
