Public private moment

Mo’Nique
From Wire Reports

Mo’Nique’s brother admitted on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show that he molested the Oscar-winning actress when they were children and said he wants to apologize to her.

Gerald Imes said Monday that the molestation continued for a year or two, starting when he was 13 and she was 7 or 8.

“I abused and betrayed the trust of another sibling, my sister, my blood sister,” said Imes, adding that he also was molested.

“Hopefully somewhere, somehow as siblings we can come back together as brother and sister.”

Mo’Nique has discussed the molestation in previous interviews. Winfrey said she didn’t want to be a part of Monday’s episode, which also included her parents, but gave her blessing.

“She said if your expressing what you had done to her could save one family then it would be worth it,” Winfrey told Imes.

Mo’Nique received the supporting actress Academy Award for her role in “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire.’ ”

Biden, his time

Vice President Joe Biden will face the ladies of “The View” on Thursday as part of the daytime talk show’s “Red, White and View” series of political discussions.

Those often get heated, producers say, even with the show’s most conservative host, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, outnumbered.

Biden last appeared on the show in 2007 while promoting his book about his life in politics.
