Body found along train tracks in Spokane Valley
A train ran over a Spokane Valley man who was reported missing this morning.
A man looking for his dogs had found the man’s body about 7:15 a.m. on the railroad tracks along the 8000 block of East Utah, a few blocks from West Valley High School.
Twenty minutes later, someone called police and said a man at a residence just a few blocks from the tracks hadn’t returned overnight. The missing man’s clothes matched the clothes on the body, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. There were no signs of foul play, and detectives are investigating the death as a possible suicide.
The last train in the area was a southbound one that traveled through about 3 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office said.
