A report of a gun threat in the Spokane Public Library on Friday led to a SWAT team invasion and the arrest of an unarmed woman.

The building was evacuated, and police blocked Main Avenue in front of the library for more than an hour after library employees called 911 about 4:45 p.m.

A woman had said she’d heard someone say they would shoot the next person who walked into the third-floor restroom, where police later found the woman.

She was evaluated by medics and booked into the Spokane County Jail on suspicion of harassment.

No weapons were found in the library.
