Baseball/Softball

Dec. 16: Softball catching clinic for ages 8-18 hosted by North Idaho College, 4-8 p.m. at NIC’s Christianson Gym. Cost: $40. Bring your own catcher’s gear. Info: (208) 769-7879.

Jan. 11-13: Cougar Baseball Academy camp for hitters, infielders, pitchers and catchers. Ages 12-18 are welcome to participate. WSU coaches and players will lead the camp. Cost: $149. Info: 335-8014 or visit www.cougarbaseballacademy.com.

Sign up: Three winter youth baseball clinics in December. First clinic will be Dec. 9 for ages 7-10 from 9:30 a.m.-noon at West Central Community Center. Second clinic is Dec. 22 for ages 11-14 from 9:30 a.m.-noon. The final clinic will be held at East Central Community Center from 9:30 a.m.-noon for ages 7-10. Two volunteers are also needed.
